The Boyd Vance Theatre is the primary performance venue at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center. The George Washington Carver Museum & Cultural Center has the distinction of being the first African-American neighborhood museum in the state of Texas. The museum collects, preserves and exhibits artifacts documenting the history of African-Americans from Austin, Central Texas and beyond.
