Ao5 Gallery is Austin’s largest contemporary art gallery, and has been committed to bringing an eclectic selection of accessible fine art to Austin for over 20 years. This museum-like space boasts over 8,000 square feet of artwork to explore including work by over 100 contemporary artists, original and vintage posters from around the world, as well as a premier custom framing department. Ao5 is currently located in the Arboretum in Northwest Austin.
Since first opening its doors on West 5th Street in 1998, this eclectic gallery has exhibited a diverse array of work from modern masters such as Salvador Dali and Andy Warhol, to their fascinating collection of the Secret Art of Dr. Seuss. Under the direction of Todd Gresley, the gallery has expanded its selection of art to include internationally renowned contemporary artists such as Gabe Leonard, Lena Sotskova, and Adam Scott Rote, as well as Austin-based artists Rachel Dory and Paul Stankiewicz. The gallery is also known for its pop culture feature attractions from officially licensed artists with Disney, Marvel, Star Wars and more.
The gallery’s new name “Ao5 Gallery” is a contemporary update to this gallery’s identity, reflecting their edgy south Austin style while still paying homage to their 5th Street roots.
