UTNT (UT New Theatre) presents Girls in Cars Underwater

When newbie Dusty is hired at the most difficult bar in the city, she forms an unexpected bond with one of the old-timers. But allegiances beyond the bar start to threaten Dusty’s new-found security — and in one terrifying night, everything changes. Girls in Cars Underwater is an unflinching exploration of love and loss and the power of both to ruin and remake our lives. Written by Tegan McLeod, Girls in Cars Underwater runs April 16, 22 and 24 at the Oscar G. Brockett Theatre.

Produced by The University of Texas at Austin, Girls in Cars Underwater is part of UTNT (UT New Theatre), an annual showcase of newly developed works for the American stage from playwrights of the university’s master of fine arts in playwriting program. UTNT (UT New Theatre) was established in 2007 by renowned playwright Steven Dietz.
