When newbie Dusty is hired at the most difficult bar in the city, she forms an unexpected bond with one of the old-timers. Produced by The University of Texas at Austin, Girls in Cars Underwater is part of UTNT (UT New Theatre), an annual showcase of newly developed works for the American stage from playwrights of the university’s master of fine arts in playwriting program. UTNT (UT New Theatre) was established in 2007 by renowned playwright Steven Dietz.
