This work symbolizes and honors the sustaining life-force of trees, and was created as a carbon-neutral piece. The artist calculated the amount of carbon that was emitted from the creation of this artwork, and planted two trees outside the library to absorb this carbon dioxide. In doing so, the artist hopes that many will consider the environmental impact of their lives. Medium: Bent Pine. Photograph by David Omer
