The Austin History Center invites you to an afternoon book discussion with Carol Dawson, Roger Polson, and Geoff Appold, authors of the recent book Miles and Miles of Texas: 100 Years of the Texas Highway Department. The book documents the 100-year history of the Texas Department of Transportation, including more than 30 photographs. The authors of the book will share stories about how the project was developed and read selections form the book. A book signing will follow the presentation. The event is free and open to the public.
