Time to Pivot: Generating Radio Interest

Time to Pivot: Generating Radio Interest

Presented by Austin Music Foundation at Online/Virtual Space

Join Austin Music Foundation for a conversation about radio promotion. While so much has changed since the start of the pandemic, studies show that most people are listening to the radio more than before. In a conversation hosted by AMF Guest Consultant Adrienne Lake, radio hosts and music programmers from KUTX, KOOP, KAZI and 101X will discuss best practices for pitching your music, what they look for in music submissions, and other tips to get your music played on air.

We’ll answer questions such as:

How can I submit my music to radio?

Do I need to pay for radio promotion?

How do music directors decide what music to play?

Featured Panelists:
Adrienne Lake – Moderator
Sharon Jones – KAZI, Music Director
Rick McNulty – KUTX, Music Director & Host
Confucius Jones – KUTX, Host
Max Yancy – KOOP,  Host
John Laird – 101X Homegrown, Host

RSVP to submit your questions early! Tune in to the AMF Facebook page at 7p CT on Tuesday, October 27 to watch.
This program is a continuation of the ‘Time To Pivot’ series, which AMF launched in late March in response to the cancellation of SXSW and the COVID-19 crisis. This event is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
