Girls on the Run of Austin

GOTR of Austin is an affiliate of Girls on the Run International, which has a network of 160 locations across the United States and Canada. The Austin chapter was founded in 2008 and to-date has six participating schools and recreation centers in Austin and surrounding areas. GOTR is a 12-week long, after-school program that uses the power of running to help pre-teen girls develop self-respect, make positive choices, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. To celebrate the completion of the program each semester, the girls along with their families, coaches and volunteers participate in a local 5K race.
