Adapted and directed by Jeffrey Jones-Ragona, with two lost songs added. Ragona says, \”I decided to set my version in Las Vegas, at the (entirely fictional) Palace Showroom and Elvis Wedding Chapel. A few place name changes were necessitated, but otherwise Gilbert’s text and characters hold up very well in a setting that is admittedly vastly different from the rustic charms of 19th century Ploverleigh.\”
