Soul Note is a debut sound meditation concert by g’beda tonya lyles focused on resounding courage. The intention is to awaken and strengthen the spirit, calm the body, and relax the mind using thumb pianos, drums, singing bowls, gongs, xylophones, the hand pan, and voice.

G’beda means earth medicine. The name was spoken to a Nigerian musician who didn’t know Tonya Lyles was a licensed acupuncturist, planetary herbalist, gemstone therapist, energy and light worker on her way to become a gifted and certified sound therapist. She founded g’beda Acupuncture and Sound Therapy, gbedasoundmedicine@gmail.com.

With over 20 years of experience as a hand percussionist, she bridges the sacredness of traditional African instrumentation with the medicine of meditative vibrations, tones, and harmonics.
