Come celebrate Mexican American Youth Arts!
Young artists from across Texas will be represented, including performers and visual artists from AISD and Del Valle ISD. Additionally, the celebration includes workshops and performances focused on Mexican American dance, theatre, art, and music.
Representation Matters is a multi-pronged project which seeks to offer a model of positive identity development of Latinx youth through the arts.

Saturday is free and open to the public. Free parking at the AISD PAC. Sunday we have an online visual arts event and Monday UT Austin welcomes for bussed-in youth during the day. The evening is open to the public and free.

3:00-6:00PM simultaneous workshops including mariachi, ballet folkloric, bilingual theatre, art exhibits
6:00 PM bilingual production of Roosters play by Milch Sanchez -Scott followed by a discussion about representation of Mexican American characters in theatre
