Refigured: Radical Realism

 A contemporary group exhibition of 12 Austin artists at the vanguard of a radical new realism movement.  Austin, internationally recognized for its trend-setting creative culture, is now an outpost for an emerging Realist Renaissance and the group show REFIGURED: RADICAL REALISM showcases some of Austin’s finest realist figurative artists, across media,  with their newest, most exciting work. 

Out of vogue for over a century as modern and conceptual approaches grew in popularity, contemporary figurative realism is hot. In a world of alternative facts, realist art is finding new audiences as a new wave of artists are blending classical arts training with modern content transforming the zeitgeist into a radical form of realist storytelling.
