Open Mic at Kick Butt Coffee

The Sunday Open Mic goes from 7pm-10pm, unless there is a holiday or another event. Double check to see if it’s happening by calling 512-454-5425. Sometimes if there is a big punk or metal show then the open mic will be cancelled or re-schedule for an earlier time on Sunday.
The hosts make sure to get everyone on the list so there is really no worry of the list being full. This is our only open mic like this.
The hosts for the event are Element 315, Lost In Thought, Ernie B., and Hot Tamale. To sign talk to Hot Tamale or Lost In Thought and they will get you on the list. Arriving about 30 minutes early is best.

Performers are normally allowed one piece unless they talk to the hosts beforehand. Depending on the act, 3-5 minutes is a typical performance length. If all the people on the list have gone, some artists can go twice – but you must talk to the host about this.

Even though this started as poetry open mic it is now an even split between poets, musicians and comedians. As long as you have a talent and you want to perform on stage, they will let you.
