Lo-fi Sci-Fi: An in-depth look at an indie sci-fi in development

Local writer/director Stephen Belyeu is hosting a sneak peek and discussion on his ambitious indie sci-fi, THE FATHER. Join Belyeu as he reveals the progress he and his team has made in the visual development stage of this project. The event will showcase a visual presentation of all the work that has gone into the film thus far, including practical special effects make up tests, 16mm film stock testing, concept art, and animatronics. Following the visual presentation, there will be a panel discussion on low budget sci-fi/horror filmmaking with special effects makeup artists Meredith Johns of Hawgfly Productions and writer/director Stephen Belyeu.
