For the first time since 2012, Ensemble VIII will present Handel’s complete Messiah under the direction of conductor Dr. James Morrow on Thurs., Dec. 13.
Experience the complete oratorio with period instruments in the vibrant and detailed clarity that Handel would have expected with streamlined forces, expert execution, and the brilliant timbres of the Baroque instruments he himself conducted. With 12 singers and 14 players, the ensemble will reflect the scope and character of Handel’s own performances.
The Thursday night performance (Dec. 13) will be held at Westlake Hills Presbyterian Church beginning at 7:30 p.m.
