The evening will begin with an upbeat piece written by American composer Michael Torke. The ASO will then play Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade. ASO Music Director, Peter Bay, had this to say about the piece, “Perhaps his greatest concert work!” It was inspired by Plato’s Symposium.
