Time: Please submit an audition recording. Deadline Tuesday, December 14th. In-person callbacks at Trinity Playhouse, December 14th. 6:30 pm.

Needed: Please submit a 1 – 2 minute video audition performance with material of your choice. Along with an acting audition, a lip-sync recording is strongly encouraged. Please include in your request (Name, phone #, and contact email) and a headshot and resume. Sides will be sent to you for call back selections.

General information: Open call to actors, specifically actors of color and performers with drag experience. Lip-syncing and the ability to work a room – and a pair of high heels – is a must! Seeking submissions for:

*CASEY, 20s, Elvis impersonator with big dreams, plays the guitar. White.

*JO, 20s, Casey’s wife. African-American/Latina

*MISS TRACY MILLS, 40s-50s, Drag performer. Any ethnicity

*REXY/JASON, 30s-40s. Drag performer/Casey’s friend. Any ethnicity

*EDDIE, 50s-60s, Bar owner. Any ethnicity

The Legend of Georgia McBride. After years of struggling at Cleo’s, a small-time night club in the Florida Panhandle, Casey’s got to get his act together fast – he’s broke and there’s a baby on the way. It’s now or never for this Elvis impersonator with big dreams. Enter Miss Tracy Mills, a self-proclaimed grand dame of drag who guarantees Casey’s life is about to get “all shook up.” Matthew Lopez’s hip-shakin’, fierce and fabulous, showbiz comedy explores what happens when one man trades in his blue suede shoes for a sequin dress and discovers he ain’t nothing but a superstar. A genderbending, sweet and campy, heartfelt celebration of divas and difference. The King is dead…long live the Queen! Presented by The City Theatre Company at Trinity Street Playhouse.

Show dates: February 25 – March 13, 2022, with rehearsals beginning in January.
