A VIRTUAL TABLE READ OF THE DARK-COMEDY SCREENPLAY, "ELEPHANT!" BY DIRECTOR CHINWE OKORIE

Interested filmmakers, artists, fiscal sponsors, members of the ATX community (and beyond) can partake in the essence of Chinwe Okorie’s rising short film, “Elephant!” This short film develops after Okorie’s split screen masterpiece, Lovebites.

The table read components are as follows:

This is a free event that will be held on the virtual platform: Zoom @ 7pm. We will first welcome you and other audience members by presenting the chance to learn more about Chinwe Okorie and her artistic mission. In addition to how she hopes her film will add value to ATX and mental health communities.

Table read – A compelling reading of Okorie’s screenplay conducted by a narrator and cast members. A screening of Elephant! the concept trailer will follow. Despite Okorie’s animated concept trailer, her intent is to create a live-action short film.

Q&A: A brief engagement with an adolescent mental health specialist/psychiatrist connecting art to mental healing. Followed by an interactive closing for guests to ask Okorie questions about production & post-production phases of Elephant! the short film.
