28th Annual Fossil Fest

A fun and educational event for the whole family with fossil identifications, exhibits, demos, door prizes, a spin the Wheel of Fossils, a fossil Dig Pit and dealers from around the country selling fossils.

The show theme, “What’s in your Backyard? Cretaceous Sea!” seeks to explore and answer that question by focusing on the geologic history of Texas as told by the rock layers beneath our feet and the fossils they contain.

ACTIVITIES INCLUDE:

— Show Spotlight: Cretaceous Sea!

— Guest Speaker: “Fossils Talk – Hear their Stories”

— Fossil Identifications

— Meet a Scientist: Opportunity to interact one-on-one with UT scientists, science educators and amateur/avocational paleontologists — hands-on
