E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (PG) – During a night visit to Earth, a little alien is accidentally left behind and finds himself all alone on a very strange planet. Fortunately, the extra-terrestrial soon finds a friend and emotional companion in 10-year-old Elliot (Henry Thomas), a lonely boy whose parents have separated. Nominated for 9 Oscars, it won 4.

Willow (PG) – A young man named Willow (Warwick Davis) takes in a baby found by his children. He later learns that this is no ordinary baby, and that an evil queen wants her. He goes on a quest to ensure her safety, and is joined along the way by Madmartigan (Val Kilmer) who helps to defend the infant. The film won 2 Oscars, for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Effects Editing.
