In this panel, members of the #BBATX community will discuss the financial mindsets and practices it takes to scale a side hustle and launch a business.

• 1:00 PM: Contemporary Craft and Cultural Appropriation
What are the lines (and relationships) between appreciation, appropriation and plagiarism? In this discussion, artists and makers will weigh in on the ways that contemporary craft borrows and steals from Indigenous practices and customs.

• 2:00 PM: Self-Doubt And Starting A Business
We often start businesses to solve the problems we see in the world—to be the message we wish to see in our communities. Even still, pursuing entrepreneurship can be lonely and mentally challenging. How do we become our own best cheerleaders?

Small business owners and creative entrepreneurs typically pursue multiple projects and streams of income to make a living. In this discussion, you’ll hear from different thought leaders in the Austin community who are making it work.

• 2:00 PM: Making The Most Of Your Time Online
How many hours of your day do you lose scrolling Instagram? In this panel, we’ll explore establishing healthy relationships to technology, productivity hacks and simplifying our time on social media.
