Join the conversation as the DAC live-streams the Artaxis Clay Conversations in our Artist Resource Center throughout the day. Tune in and hear from artists all over the world as they explore the theme of Industry in ceramics.
Empty Puppy Bowls

Join us for the Dougherty’s Second Annual Empty Puppy Bowls event where activities will include glazing ceramic pet bowls, doggie paw prints in clay, and a photo booth; all while helping out local pet rescue organizations.

Austin has a thriving ceramics community, so let’s all get together and celebrate it! Bring a piece of pottery (your favorite or your own) and share why clay is important to you as we meet and mingle and make the Austin clay community even greater. It’s a pottery party!
Ghost Throwing

Ghost Throwing is a free one-time throwing class where participants will get a chance to experience the pottery wheel, take a tour of our clay studio, and decorate their ghoulish creation. You might even spot Patrick Swayze.
