About our panelists:
–P.J. Hoover first fell in love with Greek mythology in sixth grade thanks to the book Mythology by Edith Hamilton. After a fifteen year bout as an electrical engineer designing computer chips for a living, P.J. decided to take her own stab at mythology and started writing books for kids and teens. P.J. has since published theForgotten Worlds Trilogy, the YA novel Solstice, and Tut: The Story of My Immortal Life, a pick for the 2015 Texas Lone Star List.
–Marshall Ryan Maresca is a fantasy and science-fiction writer, author of the Maradaine novels from DAW Books, starting with his debut novel The Thorn of Dentonhill. He grew up in upstate New York and studied film and video production at Penn State. He now lives Austin with his wife and son. His work appeared in Norton Anthology of Hint Fiction and Rick Klaw’s anthology Rayguns Over Texas. He also has had several short plays produced and has worked as a stage actor, a theatrical director and an amateur chef.
–Adam Soto is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a recipient of the Michener-Copernicus Fellowship. His writing has appeared in Versal Journal, and in 2012 he was named a finalist in Narrative Magazine’s 30-below contest. A Chicago native, Adam currently resides in Austin, Texas, where he works as a schoolteacher and is completing work on a novel. He writes a multimedia serial at EverythingInTheSkyBelongsToYou.com.
–Ex-cocktail waitress, ex-librarian, and unrepentant English major, Rebecca Schwarz is a mild-mannered editorial assistant for a scientific journal by day. By night, she writes science fiction and fantasy stories. Her work has appeared in Interzone, Podcastle, and Daily Science Fiction. She is currently writing her first novel.
