Zilker Metropolitan Park
Zilker Park is an incredible gem located in South Austin. Zilker Park boasts a wealth of amazing amenities including: a giant multi-use green space that features an off leash dog park and volleyball courts, the gorgeous cold spring fed Barton Springs Pool, boat and kayak rentals, the lovely Zilker Botanical Gardens, the Austin Nature and Science Theater, the Zilker Hillside Theater (which offers a free musical theater production each summer), the Zilker Zephyr (a family friendly mini train), and the Umlauf Sculpture Garden. The park hosts various exceptional events all year including: Austin City Limits, Zilker Park Kite Festival, The Trail of Lights, Blues on the Green, and much more! Zilker Park charges a parking fee of $5 per car from March to September on weekends and holidays.
