South Austin Popular Culture Center

Initially a project of the Phogg Foundation, the South Austin Popular Culture Center opened its doors to the public for the first time on March 15, 2004, as part of a citywide poster exhibition during South by Southwest. On May 31, it launched its first one-man show featuring work by the late artist/historian Jack "Jaxon" Jackson and has continued to produce some eight exhibits and five events per year with a part-time, all-volunteer staff.
