Located in the heart of Austin, Red’s Scoot Inn has become all the rage with the young urbanites teaming in east Austin’s hip new developments. Built in 1871, it is the oldest continuously running beer joint in central Texas. Back in the day, pioneers would roll their wafons into the Scoot drive in for a jug of beer and rations. Today, there is a great juke box, pool table, and plenty of rock and roll music.
