The diyYOUTH program is youth driven. We do not utilize a “curriculum” but rather get input each semester from students about what they want to learn and what types of artistic mediums they want to explore. This ensures student engagement and participation. Utilizing local artists also enhances the program through community involvement with an emphasis on entrepreneurial skill development. Artists are coached in using a strengths based approach as well as allowing for youth voice/youth leadership in programming.
