The award-winning Austin Children’s Choir was founded in 1986 by the late Dr. Bernard Gastler of Concordia University as a gift to the community. His vision was to provide children from diverse backgrounds in the Austin area with an excellent choral music experience provided by highly trained professionals. Today, the choir continues to offer refined choral instruction and introduces its members—ages 6 to 18—to a broad range of performance venues and opportunities to showcase their talent, as well as gain the satisfaction of working hard to achieve the common goal of performing as a unified ensemble.
