Early Era Collective’s mission is to present multi-form art featuring diverse perspectives for diverse audiences. Building on six years of professional dance projects, Early Era Collective debuted with three new works in the fall of 2018: a live performance and screening of our dance film They Go Wild at Gallery at Lewis Carnegie; Male | Female, which premiered at Revolve; and four dance-spoken word collaborations as the feature act at Austin Poetry Slam. In January of 2019 we formed our board and became a 501(c)3!  This season we produced a carnival-themed evening of our dance films in Zilker Park called Reels in the Park, and are now gearing up for our most ambitious project yet  – Of Thee I Swing – which will feature filmed interviews with World War II survivors and live dance.

EEC is an evolution of Stephanie Patrick Dance which existed from 2012-2018. SPD was first showcased at Dougherty Arts Center, then grew to the Asheville and San Francisco dance communities before returning to Austin in 2016. It was honored with several awards and grants both in Austin and the Bay Area.
