Beyond the Grade is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. BtG was started by Mark Turk in 2014, to support the needs of his at-risk students in the Austin area school districts. Our vision is to provide music, art, and other educational opportunities to students, beyond the traditional classes offered in schools. Giving students opportunities to learn from professionals that are working, and getting to know what a career track would look like. BtG is currently providing music education for Austin Independent School District and other Austin area private schools.
