The Creatives Meet Business Experience (CMBXP for short) is a 3-day “experience” (September 14-16) that helps area creatives become more sustainable in the creative spaces by providing hands-on workshops with real-time solutions around artistry, business, marketing, and storytelling. Each programming partner (Austin Learnshop, Creatives Meet Business, General Assembly and Story Bar) will have three days of workshops and attendees will also have access to nightly happy hours and group mentorship sessions on a variety of topics in the badgeholder lounge. We’re taking up residence in 5 venues over on East Cesar Chavez (Atmosphere Coworking, The Back Pack, Carol Hickey Acting Studio, Juniper, and Soma Vida).

This isn’t a traditional conference with seated panel discussions. Oh no. It’s a series of hands-on workshops that provide help, answers, documents, and access to new creative pursuits in real-time. We strongly believe in collaboration and wanted to bring in a variety of programming partners to provide the best experience possible. We also have one-on-one mentorship opportunities available as well as group mentorship sessions. It’s our goal to bring creatives from all different backgrounds together to learn from each other and to network in a new and meaningful way.
