The play is a heart-touching portrayal of a special bond between Mahatma Gandhiji and Shrimad Rajchandraji, depicting the making of ‘Mahatma’. What began as friendship, progressed to Gandhiji’s proclamation of Shrimadji as his spiritual mentor. 

“I must say that no one else has ever made on me the impression that Raychandbhai (Shrimadji) did. His words went straight home to me… In my moments of spiritual crisis, he was my refuge.” – by Gandhiji, in His Autobiography on Shrimad Rajchandraji.

The play recently celebrated the completion of 550+ shows in 175 days and has performed in over 175 cities in India and U.K. Most recently, the play was bestowed with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence award, a prestigious and coveted award of Indian Cinema

The Cause – Hospital for tribal people

Proceeds from the play support the construction of Shrimad Rajchandra Hospital – a new 200-bed multi-specialty charity hospital in South Gujarat, India primarily serving the underprivileged and under-served tribal population.
