The Austin Civic Orchestra will perform music requested by its 2016-17 season audience in a free pops concert at the city’s beloved Beverly S. Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theater on June 9 and 10 at 8PM.

Along with songs by the Beatles, the family-friendly program includes pieces from Hamilton and Game of Thrones, jazz music, and more. Audience members will get a chance to conduct the orchestra in John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever” through a raffle with one winner each evening.  

Mellizoz Tacos and Good Times ice cream food trucks will be on hand each evening to dish up fresh food for patrons. Attendees can also bring in a picnic basket, cooler and blanket to enhance the hillside experience.  

Free parking is available in the polo field above the theater. There is wheelchair access and parking for persons with disabilities to the immediate left and right of the backstage area of the theater building. A ramp provides access to the ADA area in front of the stage that is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

-The Beatles medley
-Songs by prior request of audience members
-Pieces from The Cowboys, Hamilton and Game of Thrones
-The music of George Gershwin and Duke Ellington
-John Philip Sousa’s “Stars and Stripes Forever” conducted by the raffle-winning audience member
