In Shakespeare’s time, there were all-boy troupes. In our time, we have an all-girl troupe of eight. This modern translation of The Comedy of Errors is a humorous production that tells the story of two sets of identical twins who were accidentally separated at birth. When one of the pairs end up in the same town, wild mishaps ensue. The characters have been gender-swapped and the adaptation is exclusive to ImprovEd Shakespeare, combining a mix of modern narration and original Shakespeare verse. The youth players help the audience understand the story. Performed as a site-specific piece and intentionally live-streamed, the production takes you inside and outside, from room to room. Please note: there are limited periods of standing and you are immersed in the action. Co-directed by H. Cherdon Bedford and Andee Kinzy.
