The Music of Ecuador and Its Neighbors

Presented by City of Austin Cultural Arts Division and Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center at Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center.

Los Bohemios Perdidos will celebrate the music of Ecuador and its Andean neighbors with a very special concert on Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center’s Black Box Theater. Victor Murillo from Quito, Ecuador will play the quena, zampoña, and charango. Roberto Riggio from Atash will play the violin, and Tonico Vanalli from the Brew will provide the percussion. Javier Jara and Carlos Ufret will provide voice and guitar. Other special guests include Juan Antonio de los Ángeles and Ana Lilia Cantú from the duo De Canto y Perfil. In this concert, the ensemble will perform original compositions, arrangements, and rarely heard Andean music jewels from Ecuador, Bolivia, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. We hope to see you all there!

Free Parking is available to guests attending the center’s programs, galleries and special events. A temporary parking pass is available in the main office. There is also metered street parking available.
