Great cities tell great stories and we need your help to tell Our Austin Story, the story of Austin through the lens of our historic city squares. The Downtown Austin Alliance, in partnership with the Austin Parks and Recreation Department, is developing a comprehensive interpretive strategy for the three historic city squares: Brush, Republic, and Wooldridge.

The goal is to find meaningful stories—grounded in these civic spaces—that connect to the people and places of Austin.

Critical to the success of this project is the representation of Austin’s diverse community to ensure that our public squares tell the stories of all people. Mark your calendar and join us at one of our upcoming events to learn more about the project and share your stories.
