Following a wildly successful run in HAIRSPRAY LIVE! on NBC, Austin’s own Tommy Martinez comes home.

After graduating from Bowie High School in 2001, Tommy Martinez traveled the globe, from cruise ships in Europe, to regional theaters across the U.S., to Broadway (Newsies), to Hairspray Live! on NBC. Tommy will sing, dance, and share his story in this high-energy show that promises to leave you smiling and humming a tune. 

Joining Tommy on stage is his Putnam County Spelling Bee castmate Laura Dadap Gilmartin, who is as talented as her stage persona, Marcy Parks. She plays cello (her uncle is Yo Yo Ma – no joke), she is a magnificent coloratura soprano (not at all like Florence Foster Jenkins), and she is very funny. 
 
The show is rounded out by Nimmy Weisbrod, a classically trained opera singer who got a full-ride scholarship to the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University, but ultimately chose a more predictable career as a pediatric nurse.  

The trio will bring an evening of fun and entertainment to the stage as they share what “living the dream” really looks like.
