Austin Parks Foundation’s It’s My Park Day

Austin Parks Foundation’s It’s My Park Day

Presented by Austin Parks Foundation at Barton Creek Greenbelt

Austin Parks Foundation is excited to announce that the nonprofit’s biggest citywide volunteer event, It’s My Park Day, will return twice this year, in the spring and fall, with the spring date set for Saturday, March 4.

The 15th edition of the citywide volunteer event will bring together thousands of Austinites to help improve and transform parks, trails, and greenbelts throughout Austin. Volunteer projects will include city-approved tree mulching, root collar clearing, habitat restoration, trail maintenance as well as park and creek cleanups. In previous years, It’s My Park Day has produced a total of 10,000 hours of volunteer labor via almost 100 projects across Austin. Their work is equivalent to 5 park maintenance employees working full time for a year, representing an investment of over a quarter of a million dollars for Austin’s parks and green spaces.

Community members can still register to volunteer for specific park improvement projects happening across Austin on It’s My Park Day. For more information and to register, please visit https://www.austinparks.org/volunteer/impd/
