You Can Sing! Vocal Performance Workshop

Enjoy a day singing and performing during spring break at the Women in Jazz “You Can Sing!” Vocal Performance Camp, Saturday, March 13, 2017 at the George Washington Carver Museum, 1165 Angelina Street, Austin, TX. 

Girls and Boys from ages 7 to 18 will learn how to their voices and sing in different styles, rhythms and textures. You will also learn how to perform a song and communicate with musicians to sing it your way. Participants will sing with a professional band in the morning, the James Polk Trio. Everyone will have an opportunity to perform on the Boyd Vance Theatre stage! In the afternoon, campers will sing and perform with professional Karaoke host. Vocalists Pamela Hart and Candace DeClue will provide hands-on coaching throughout the camp. Lunch and snacks are included.

Check in/Registration begins at 8:00 am. Camp begins at 9:00 am. There will be a concert at 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm. For the youth who were dropped off, pick up time is not later than 4:00 pm.
