The Black Excellence Tribute

The Black Excellence Tribute

at AISD Performing Arts Center

The Black Excellence Tribute is a live event in Austin, Texas. Co-founded by Aaron Ross and Sanya Richards-Ross with the express purpose of celebrating the achievements of local, national and international people of color. The event does this through dynamic storytelling using music, poetry, digital short stories, and impactful speaking. The event is designed to entertain, educate, empower and encourage those in and outside of the Austin community to celebrate the best in their fellow man.

The Black Excellence Tribute is a creative reminder of the success both historically and recently within the African American community. The event is a catalyst to encourage the community to continue to reach for the stars.

The proceeds of the event benefit The Gold Standard Foundation.

The Gold Standard Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization which seeks to continue its mission to educate, empower and enable at risk youth to excel in academics and athletics. The foundation achieves its mission in several ways and provides access for families to achieve a healthy lifestyle through its programs. For more information please visit SanyaRicahrdsRoss.com
