Tuesday Night Stories

Tuesday Night Stories

Presented by Austin Playback Theatre at First Unitarian Universalist

Join us for Tuesday Night Stories!

On the first Tuesday of each month (doors at 7pm; show 7:30-9:00), Austin Playback Theatre is collaborating with a local nonprofit for an evening of storytelling and theatre inspired by a new theme.

Come share your stories, support an amazing local organization, and enjoy a captivating evening of improvisational theatre!

Authentic, spontaneous, and inclusive–playback is a unique theatre experience in which audience members share stories of their own lives and watch them transformed into theatre, enacted on the spot. Sharing our stories is a powerful way to connect as human beings and to build community. Seeing your story–and the stories of others–enacted is a magical moment.

Tuesday Night Stories is a project created by Austin Playback Theatre to raise money and awareness for local nonprofit organizations and build connections in the community through story sharing. Each voice and story, however ordinary or extraordinary, is honored. Together, as they share, our audiences build trust, listen to each other, and, thus, learn and grow.

Location: Performances are held at First Unitarian Universalist Church on 4700 Grover Ave, Austin, TX 78756. First UU has generously donated its space for performances so that all proceeds can go to the organizations featured each month.  Free parking!
