The Art of Reuse - Watercolor with a touch of layering with Sandie Huston

Presented by Austin Creative Reuse at The linc # 1301 (facing IH 35, next to Fedex)

Join us as we meet and create with artist Sandie Huston. She will lead participants thru experimenting with basic watercolor with a touch of layering. The Austin Creative Reuse Center inspired Sandie to offer a class in watercolor for those interested in having some fun.  The class will provide participants with a sense of working wet on wet and you will go home with something to brag about.
Color and whimsy direct most of Sandie’s work.  After studying in Corpus Christi and Newport Beach, CA, her style began to make sense in San Francisco where she studied for years with Annette Goldberg and exhibited solo and with a group called “Five”. As an exhibiting artist and cultural anthropologist, she finds true joy in things originating South of the Rio Grande. Color remains a constant in her designs, paintings, photography and life!
Austin Creative Reuse will provide a series of workshops focused on creating art using reclaimed materials. The hands-on workshops will consist of meeting a featured local artist, learning about his/her art form, and creating an individual or group project.
Austin Creative Reuse is a nonprofit organization that collects, sells, and distributes donated reusable materials.
