Casting Call! City Theatre Auditions for Brian Friel’s award-winning play Dancing at Lughnasa.

When: January 15 -16. Callbacks January 17.

Time: Monday and Tuesday, 6:30 – 9:30 pm. Ten minute spots by appointment.

Where: Genesis Creative Collective.1507 Wilshire Blvd. On the campus of Genesis Presbyterian Church.

Needed: No prepared monologue needed but be prepared to sing a short song if asked. “Happy Birthday” is fine. Sides will also be performed. We will try and send those before your audition date. Please be familiar with the show and plan to stay a few minutes after your time as you may audition with others. Please bring headshot and resume.

DANCING AT LUGHNASA. This extraordinary play is the story of five unmarried sisters eking out their lives in a small village in Ireland in 1936. Their spare existence is interrupted by brief, colorful bursts of music from the radio, their only link to the romance and hope of the world at large.
