20th annual Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival

Presented by Coalition of Texans with Disabilities at The Long Center: Debra & Kevin Rollins Studio Theatre

The Coalition of Texans with Disabilities presents the 20th annual Cinema Touching Disability Film Festival. The top cinematic celebration of disability in Texas, the festival features the work of independent filmmakers from around the world, from documentaries to animated shorts to the avant-garde.

The 2023 festival will include screenings of winners and official selections of this year’s international short film competition; the Team Everest 03 short documentary (also celebrating its 20th anniversary); live music; the inaugural Gene Rodgers Creative Advocacy Award; a champagne toast to 20 years of the festival; and more.

Admission Info

Cinema Touching Disability is open to the public. A $10 ticket will reserve your spot in the theater, and the price of the ticket will be reimbursed in cash at the door! Incidental costs like parking, snacks, and drinks are not included in the ticket. If tickets sell out, we will have a wait list online and at the door.

The Rollins Theater will have open seating, with unattached chairs on a level floor, and some tables for those who need a surface. All films will be screened with open captions, and ASL interpretation will be provided for all spoken portions of the Festival. Audio description devices will be available.
