Do you hear that rattle and hum? It’s the screams of those falling victim to Jack the Ripper, their blood flowing through the heart of Whitechapel, where the streets have no name. The story of the world’s most famous serial killer gets the Sweeney Todd treatment using the music of U2.

Written by Shaun Branigan. Directed by Asaf Ronen with musical direction and accompaniment by Michael O’Connor. Featuring Ben Howell, Bryan Curry, Donna Rice, Griffin Gardner, Tatiana Jitkoff, Robert Slack as Jack the Ripper and Erin Molson as Nellie Bly.

The Jukebox Musical Project continues its mission to create original Broadway productions around the songbooks of arbitrary popular musical artists. With one brow cocked high and the other cocked low, we merge themes and music that no one would ever have thought to throw together: The Italian Renaissance and Queen, the Salem Witch Trials and Radiohead, the Soviet space race and Phil Collins, and more.
