One of India’s outstanding musicians Bombay Jayasri will be in Austin to give a concert. She has won several awards for excellence in music and has collaborated with a Finnish pianist and composer Ferro Hammeennieni and has perfomed with Philharmonic orchestra on a creation based on Indian ragas. She is also a prolific composer and she composed and sang the theme song for the Academy winning movie “The Life of Pi”. She was nominated for the Oscar award for original composition in the movie, called “Pi’s Lullaby“. This will be the only appearance in Texas and it would be a mesmerizing experience.to listen to the cocnert.
