I’m a RTF Undergraduate student at UT casting for a scene from the television series Mr. Robot for an in class performance and shot on HD and shown to other UT RTF undergraduate student directors, all of whom will be directing, casting or producing films on an ongoing basis for the next few years.

DESCRIPTION: A climactic scene between the self-righteous hacker, Elliot, after he hacks a local coffee shop owner, Ron, and finds that he is hosting an illegal website.

LENGTH: 5 – 6 minutes

LOCATION: UT Austin (CMB 4.126) – Austin, TX

Looking for:

1 Male to play Ron (25-35)

1 Male to play Elliot (18-25)

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

Elliot is a self-righteous hacker who suffers from social anxiety. After discovering that his favorite local coffee shop owner is hosting an illegal website on the dark web, Elliot decides to confront him in person before giving him over to the police. He is devoted to using his extensive knowledge of hacking for a greater good.

Ron is using his local coffee shop chain as a front for his gigabite download and upload speeds to run an illegal website on the dark web. When Elliot catches him red handed, he is forced to engage in conversation with him before being taken to jail by the police. He wants to live a quiet life that hides the evils he condones on his website.

Commitment:

*Approx. 3 rehearsals between the casting and November 1st. Specific dates will be discussed with actors.

*In class performance from 2-5PM on November 1st.

*Filming of Scene will occur either November 5th or 6th depending on

flexibility of schedule of both actors.

Compensation:

You will be provided with a DVD of the final edited scene.
