ROMY & MICHELE’S HIGH SCHOOL REUNION
Romy and Michelle have been through it all, including being tortured by the Popular crowd when in high school. When they receive word of a 10 year reunion, they come to realize their lives aren’t as impressive as they’d like them to be. Instead of staying home they go to the reunion with business outfits, cell phones, and one heck of a bogus success story.

Directed by David Mirkin
Written by Robin Schiff
Stars: Mira Sorvino, Lisa Kudrow, Janeane Garofalo
USA, 1997, 1 hr 32 min, Rated R

#AltGirlCinema brings an alternative cinematic representation of women’s lives to Austin through monthly screenings. Alt Girl deviates from the mainstream, screening contemporary art films across a plethora of genres, including horror, sci-fi, documentary, experimental, and more. Alt Girl stresses the importance of complex characters giving a multidimensional view of womanhood in today’s society. Alt Girl Cinema is a program of the Women’s Community Center of Central Texas.
