Moustapha Bangoura is from Guinea West Africa. He danced with the national ballet of Guinea ‘Les Ballet Africains’ for 22 years. He is a great teacher, historian, dancer, and drummer a true Master of his cultural art. He delivers an authentic experience of Guinea West African Dance that is fun, educational, inspiring, and transformational! 

This six class workshop is a great opportunity to explore a diverse art form that is rich in history, and culture.  Participants will experience community through an amazing platform… drumming and dancing. Students will learn two dance rhythms that will be part of a story about the history of Congo Square. On Oct 15th at the Vortex Repetory Company class participants will perform these folkloric dances as part of the closing ceremony of the “Congo Square Event.” 

No dance experience is required. We only ask that you come with an open mind that appreciates culture.
