Celebrate new YA books from LGBTQ+ authors Jason June and Stephen Salvatore

Presented by The Library Foundation and BookPeople and Austin Public Library at Austin Central Library

Kick off Pride Month with LGBTQ+ authors Jason June and Steven Salvatore, who will discuss their latest YA books with Austin author Kelis Rowe at 6 p.m. on June 2 at the Austin Central Library.

“Riley Weaver Needs a Date to the Gaybutante Ball” is the latest LGBTQ+ young adult rom-com from New York Times bestselling author and Austin resident Jason June. And from lauded author Steven Salvatore comes the moving YA novel “No Perfect Places.”

Leading the discussion will be Kelis Rowe, an Austin mom who writes sweeping, classic teen romance novels from the points of view of grounded, self-possessed Black girls.
